When we think of Christmas overseas, we think of fir trees.
In Japan, we think of pine.

Pine branches are traditionally displayed for the New Year in Japan, but we thought a Christmas wreath made entirely of pine would be just as beautiful.

So we created this simple wreath using only Himegoyomatsu, a delicate variety of Japanese white pine.

Like fir, pine is an evergreen tree and carries the same symbolism of vitality and enduring life.

Among pine varieties, Himegoyomatsu is especially soft, with fine, delicate needles that flow gracefully.

In contrast to the bold, strong presence of fir, this wreath has a gentle, understated beauty.

Simple, yet a little different.

For those looking for something a little unexpected this Christmas.

A wreath filled with quiet tenderness.
